Mechanical Assembler / Machine Builder

Location: Largo, FL
Pay: $18.00/hour and up, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and skilled Mechanical Assembler / Machine Builder to join our team in Largo, FL. This position involves assembling custom machinery and components using mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, can read technical drawings, and works well in a team environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Assemble components, parts, and subassemblies according to specifications

• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions

• Position and align parts manually or using hoists

• Use hand tools and machinery to assemble equipment

• Run and route wires, cables, and pneumatic tubing throughout machines

• Troubleshoot assemblies and identify potential issues

• Ensure proper fitment, tolerances, and correct fastening hardware

• Work with electro-mechanical components including servo motors, VFDs, gearboxes, and related systems

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment

• Collaborate effectively with team members

• Follow all safety and quality standards

Qualifications

• Mechanical and/or electrical assembly experience preferred

• Knowledge of electro-mechanical systems required

• PLC and HMI experience is a plus

• Packaging machinery experience is a plus

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must be dependable with a strong work ethic
