Position Summary

The maintenance department is responsible for maximizing equipment operation through PM and routine maintenance duties. The overall objective of this position is to fix equipment, install upgrades, and maximize production safety-based time on equipment.

Essential Accountabilities
• Support process efficiency through completing the following:
• Ensure vacuums and extruders are running
• Ovens, inline, chiller, cooling tower is working properly
• Any repairs or issues with lighting, heaters on extruders, cords, cooling fans are addressed
• Conduits are repaired and installed as needed
• Troubleshooting A/C issues, repairing if possible
• Checking oven amp readings and fuses on inline during mold changes
• Ensure the integrity of products by incorporating and complying with applicable standards and specifications and ensuring machinery is operating efficiently, effectively, and safely
• Foster interdepartmental communication and collaborations through open dialogue and addressing electrical and mechanical issues and repairs as requested
• Other duties and assignments as required

Qualifications
Education/Certifications
• High School Diploma/GED required
• Journeyman Electrician license preferred
• PLC certification preferred
Experience
• 4-6 years of relevant experience required
• 6-10 years of relevant experience preferred.

Tools include: benders, hacksaw, knockout punches, screw drivers, strippers, pliers, wrenches, meters, temperature guns, fish tape, drills, band saw, taps, and dies, grinders, wire wheels, nut drivers
• Verbal & Written Communication Skills –This position requires intermediate skills (Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.)
